So here's the situation. Mike "The Situation" has been paid by clothing retailer Abercrombie & Fitch to stop wearing their clothes. The company claims that he is not a good representation of their image and fans of the company may be distressed after seeing him rocking A&F.
The Jersey Shore is on the the most popular shows on television, and may be the #1 cable show. The reasons listed do not seem like valid reasons to ask the Sitch to stop wearing the clothes. His homie Pauly D came to his defense claimed that A&F sell GTL shirts, so they are targeting the Shore's audience.
I do not think this is a good move for Abercrombie. BUT how often do you see logos from clothing stores on TV shows? Typically stations will blur these logos out of their show. So I find it surprising that this was not done on the Shore. But if A&F want to open their stores to the public they need to expect any and all people to shop there.
